Let's keep them warm and dry!
Tanja van GroningenAfter being a couple of days in Lesvos, Greece, I met some amazing people besides the great Movement on the Ground (MOTG) team and the group of international volunteers.
The community volunteers.
Each day, MOTG also works alongside a group of community volunteers – camp residents who are responsible for running the day-to-day activities inside the camp. Community volunteers are involved in; construction projects designed to improve the camp, food distribution, clothes repairs, barber services, office support, translation and much more.
And all of that with lots of energy and smiles. IMPRESSIVE people!!
MOTG works with 200 community volunteers. Many of the daily activities are based outside, so let's keep them warm and dry! It’s 40 euro for a rain suit – jacket and pants – plus a set of thermals and a pair of rain boots. Any support would be much appreciated and will make a massive difference in the lives of people forced to flee their homes.
Funds raised above and beyond the target will be spent on games for children in the camp. I will buy the games locally and the community volunteers will distribute them.
Any questions? Call or text me! But better: just donate 😁
And don’t forget any amount counts! From 5 euro (beginning of a coat) to 40 euro (a full set) to more!
X
