Frequently Asked Questions
First of all, we are really thankful that you are mobilizing your network to help us with our mission! Without your fundraising support, we would not be able to execute our daily activities and projects on Lesvos and Samos.
At Movement On The Ground, we believe in transparency. We want everyone, from our staff and volunteers to our long-term donors and new followers to know where we source our funds and how they are allocated. We're pretty sure that you will get questions about this from your sponsors too, so here's how things work.
If you decide to start your own fundraiser for MOTG, we ensure that all money is allocated in the most fair way possible, ensuring we channel as much funding as possible towards our activities on the ground. We understand that you may want to complete some fundraising to help cover your personal trip costs such as accommodation, flights and food. If you are planning to do this, we please ask you to please not do this through our fundraising platform. This platform is to ensure we can continue our mission on the ground in Greece. If you do choose to fundraise for your trip costs, please do not use the MOTG logo and images to promote this.
